Welcome to the Embodied Archetypes. I'm Lewis Carolyn Barfoot, the founder of the workshop series which I set up in 2012 to explore how the archetypes can open doors to a more wholesome and integrated version of yourself. It has been a journey into wholeness for myself. And I now I support others to be the best versions of themselves in body, spirit and soul. I draw upon my knowledge and experience of being a medical doctor, especially my work in Oncology and Palliative care and integrate this with the emotional intelligence and embodied training I started to learn at drama school and refined in the last 20 years working as a performer, theatre maker, singer and director. Much of my learning has been under guidance from my dear mentors and wisdom keepers Paul Oertel, Nancy Spanier and Kath Burlinson for whom I am deeply grateful.

 

The Embodied Archetypes Workshops (EAW) are creative and playful. They use the power of myths and archetypes to provide a safe and sacred space to express yourself through body,  voice and ritual. They may support people to make bold choices in their lives, heal old wounds and let go of bad habits. They may be therapeutic, but they are not "therapy" and there is no use of plant medicine.
